Dr. LeSon holds an engineering degree and advanced degrees in public health from the University of Illinois, which provide him with a solid foundation in areas including allergy, clinical laboratory immunology, environmental and occupational health, biostatistics, and epidemiology. His research on the effects of secondhand smoke on asthma has garnered widespread acclaim and contributed significantly to the development of California’s landmark smoke-free workplace law (AB 13) in 1995. Additionally, he has wide-ranging experience in women’s health, occupational medicine, sports medicine, nutrition consulting, emergency medicine, and urgent care medicine.
Beyond his medical practice, Dr. LeSon has a passion for adventure and education. He has undertaken extreme wilderness solo treks, taught emergent survival skills and first aid, and served as a dual-certified sports coach. As a lifelong learner, he also homeschooled his children, instilling in them the values of gratitude, humility, and curiosity that helped them pursue their unique paths to prestigious universities.
